Encouraging Students to Take a Stand for their Clean Energy Future
WASHINGTON, DC (April 5, 2010) – Today Environmental Defense Action Fund begins sharing its mic with college students. For the next eight weeks EDAF is asking students from across the country to create short video clips calling on Congress to pass strong climate and clean energy legislation.
EDAF is reaching out to campus green leaders and club presidents across the country, from the University of Alaska Anchorage to University of South Florida, to encourage participation. EDAF will award grants of up to $3,000 to the environmental club that collects the most video submissions. EDAF welcomes submissions from any student group from any university.
“College students around the country are eager to show Congress how much they support clean energy, and EDAF is happy to help,” said Challenge Director Rebecca Rasch. “After all, it’s their future that hangs in the balance.”
